Our Approach
This was a multi-season production built around memory and specificity. Over the course of a year, we filmed across three distinct seasons—working closely with Deerfield’s creative team to identify the people, places, and moments that define the alumni experience. A small, focused crew allowed us to move with precision, capturing intimate details across academics, athletics, and daily life. The focus was on creating an immersive film that felt lived-in and authentic—where sound, texture, and pacing worked together to trigger recognition and emotional connection.


THE RESULTS
The film premiered at the Metropolitan Museum of Art inside the Temple of Dendure, introduced to distinguished alumni in a setting that matched the significance of the campaign. The response was immediate and deeply emotional, creating a shared sense of connection to place and time. By making memory tangible, the film became a powerful tool for engagement—helping transform nostalgia into meaningful support for the Academy’s future.

Lone Spruce came in prepared, collaborative, and clear from day one. They took the time to understand a 229-year-old institution and translated it into a film that feels both authentic and current.
